We’re definitely over the cold, snow, and this Polar Vortex. Lately, the sub-zero temperatures have us dreaming of beaches, warm weather, and sunshine…and even if the weather report says we won’t be seeing any of that in the immediate future, we can’t help but get excited over the 2014 Spring trends and all of the new Spring and Resort product we’ve been unpacking this week. We put together a list of our favorite trends for spring to help you shake the winter blues.
1. Biker Jacket- but not in black: The biker jacket has long proved itself to be an agreeable wardrobe companion. Spring gives you the opportunity to be brave and possibly bring a new hue into the mix. We love the Structured Biker Jacket from ALC in pink. The color is perfect for spring and we love the juxtaposition of edgy detailing with the soft color.
2. Shades of Grey (Denim): The most important denim trends are skinny cuts in grey or washed-out black. Grey is a nice neutral that pairs well with almost anything. We love the vintage, washed look of the grey skinny from JBrand in the Photo Ready fabrication.
3. Chambray Shirts: Chambray tops and button downs are incredibly comfortable and they’re also extremely versatile. At this point, the chambray shirt has transcended from a trend item to a wardrobe basic. Try wearing one the same way you would wear a plain white tee shirt -with jeans, leggings, or even sweats; or try wearing it unbuttoned with a plain top or graphic tank underneath. Right now, Paige Denim has some killer pieces.
4. Graphic Tees: No need to explain. A graphic tee is a new way to be bold. We love the sweet sayings, bold graphics and the washed feel of the tops from Chaser Brand and Lauren Moshi
